From ‘The Cosmic Cannonball Caper’ issue.
Very first appearance of Lila Cheney.

I was completely satisfied having the full interiors from this issue, and figured the cover was out of reach. But I got up with the previous owner, and he was willing to let it go for me to complete the issue. I always wanted one of these classic Sienk NM covers, so to get one my favorites that puts a book back together is definitely a highlight of my collecting journey.

Massive 30x40 inches.

Stupendous! Striking colors. Evokes the National Lampoon's Vacation poster. Fun period of the New Mutants (you mentioned it came out around the time of the classic Slumber Party issue). Congrats on reuniting this fun little comicbook. Now going to re-read it from your wonderful scans!

Apparently I jumped the gun when I posted my comment on the title splash to this incredible complete story. I had no idea you had the cover as well (and a phenomenal Sienkiewicz cover to boot). Wow, wow, and WOW!!!!! If this complete book was the only thing in your collection, you'd already be a winner. I won't be around to see it, but I'm just trying to imagine how ecstatic the next caretaker will be when he/she inherits this treasure of art (which hopefully won't be for a long while). Congratulations again!

There she is. And wow is an understatement for this couldnt think of a better place for this book to reside then with you and this cover is magnificent.. dare I say one of the best from the best??? This better be framed and on a wall.. not collecting dust!

Man. Just wow. Movie poster feel...such a weight to it. The word "grand" comes to mind. Those colors must look unreal in person, the piece being as big as it is. Huge congrats, man, and major congrats on completing the full issue, front to back!

Wow! What a killer cover! Sienkiewicz did an amazing job on this piece. Love the pose Lila is striking--Full-on Rock Star Goddess! The composition of the whole cover is amazing. The huge planet Earth behind her, the burst of raindow-colored rays radiating out from behind her. It's a fitting poster for a Concert or a Movie! Fabulous pick-up, congrats!
