Description10-2024...Super cool ink and watercolor piece of Uncle Scrooge. From the auction description...Original Uncle Scrooge Cover Concept by long time WALT DISNEY comic art veteran PAT BLOCK. This cover concept never made it into production, and was in artist Pat Block's files drawn on a piece of translucent paper. The artist himself has transferred it to board and inked and watercolored it. I think it would have made for a cute cover on an Uncle Scrooge issue. The gag is quite straightforward. Uncle Scrooge McDuck is at an exhibition of rather abstract artwork. For some reason his attention is quite caught by a particular canvas featuring shimmering gold circles on a green background. Who would have thought Scrooge has a real love for modern art? This piece measures 13" by 10". It is painted with Yarka St. Petersburg Watercolors, and won't fade the way marker drawings tend to do. (Never display any painted work in direct sunlight however!) It is beautifully inked with a brush and has that buoyant Disney feel about it. Social/Sharing |

Haha! Sometimes I think he's the one buying all the high-end pieces at Heritage. =)
