DescriptionSooooooo happy to add this one! Any early Uncanny page I can add is usually a win… but this one while a little before my comic beginnings is extra special for a few reasons. One it’s a very important issue… it’s the issue Illyana goes to limbo and gets aged and powered up… and it’s the first appearance of the demon S’YM (that’s the guys Logan is stabbing the crap out of throughout the page lol) and he is a central figure in the inferno crossover.. which is my favorite crossover of my childhood. Then there is the artist.. Brent Anderson only did a small sampling of X-men art … best known for the God Loves Man Kills graphic novel.. he also has a few issues of the main title under his belt including this issue. I always liked his rendition of the team and Wolverine in particular. Wiacek does his usual magic while brining the pencils to life without over powering. And let’s be realistic… I cannot think of too many vintage Wolverine centric battle pages that can rival this one .. panel after panel of slash stab slash! And a little Colossus for good measure!Thank you SO much Michael for working with me to get this into my collection! Social/Sharing |

Wolverine allowed to do his thing without being edited for television nor needing a parental advisory! Anderson had never been hotter and might have changed the course of X-Men and Marvel history with his short run, full of impactful key stories. Ted was smart in buying this. Selling it, not as much.
