Description

In 2024 Top Cow finally came through for me re-launching one of my favorite titles �Witchblade�. After I learned Cafaro was the new lead artist I decided to reach out to him regarding any original pages that might be for sale. I was too late for any pages BUT he was willing to do a commission before he started drawing the next Witchblade issue.

As much as I love Witchblade, the Cow co-series �The Darkness� is really my favorite. Turner had done an iconic cover of Jackie sitting on a thrown surrounded by women. With that in mind I asked Cafaro if he could do his own spin on a similar piece in his own style. It came out even better than I hoped! I got women suspending from Darkness tentacles, Jackie at the forefront seated and holding the spear of destiny. So thankful he was able to squeeze me into his busy schedule.

Fantasy meets European illustration when Cafaro does Witchbade! His darker tone for The Darkness is gives the piece an edgy mood of danger.

Killer commission! I can't wait to see what they do with the Darkness relaunch.
