Description

I've had the good fortune to snag my fair share of DWJ art since I've started collecting comic art, but they've been commissions, con sketches, and illustrations. A lot of great pieces, but I've always sought to land one published piece to round out the collection.

In late December 2023, when I least expected to do so, I was lucky enough to land this action-packed Transformer page, built around Skywarp blasting the hell out of Optimus Prime.

Thrilled to check off another box on the want list with this great example.

It's an all out war comic! DWJ includes a lot of the humans doing human things good or bad as they blindly open fire against every robot they see.

Love the use of screentone in the first panel, as well as that inset shoe panel. Overall this page is packed with action, so much so that the gunfire reads as loud.
