I�ve been a fan of Daniel�s art since his early work on Bendis� Avengers all the way through his most recent Avengers: Twilight story with Zdarsky. I got a quickie sketch from Daniel a long long time ago at the DC booth at one of the very first NYCCs, but as far as I recall, I don�t think he�s made it back for another NYCC. Also never saw much evidence that he did commissions, so just assumed he didn�t. Earlier this year, I noticed that he was now repped by Black Diamond and noticed they had a rate sheet up, so I inquired as to whether Daniel was actually taking commissions. To my surprise, he was so I signed up for one immediately. I love the pose he drew on top of the money, just screams Felicia. It took him some time to get a pose and composition he liked, but I think he nailed it here. The ink wash effects in the final product are striking as well. Thanks to Daniel and Miles at Black Diamond.

This is a treasure of a piece with an inspired work by Acuna that money can't buy. Sure, it can be technically done, but this must have been an image that stewed within him waiting to get done at some point.
