Description

It's a dream to one day meet the legendary Walt Simonson. Until then, this sketch cover will have to tide me over.

A main reason why I adore "Thor" is Walt's famous work on the Norse god. I don't think I have to go into detail here why that run is the best run on the character.

I'm biased, but out the bunch of sketches that he has done for this op, this is one of those that stood out. The eyes aren't just horizontal lines, like Walt sometimes does. Nor is it just marker.

You still see some pencil lines; it has clear emotion and fills the cover quite a bit. Love that the personalization worked out, too!

Still plenty mighty! Theres no question that many new art teams aspire to reach the heights of Simonson's run in both action and epicness.
