This page of comic art is a study for an interior page from Sean Gordon Murphy’s 2010 Wolverines ABC’s.

🍁It was one of his first works that he ever published with Marvel characters. only 200 copies of the original book where ever published, (from what I’ve read about it ) and most of them were giving away. Interior pages of art from this book have become scarce.

❄️Sean’s art has become sought after. He uses ink and ink wash with a paint brush and I absolutely love his style. I met him in 2011 at the Emerald City comicon. I had a good fortune to be able to look through his books at the table and speak with him for a little while. Such inspired work.

☃️I hate to sell this piece but, it was an investment in something I loved and the artist who created it, many years ago… Today, I have to make the sacrifice. (Sean, if you read this, thank you for the opportunity to live with his peace and enjoy it for so many years.)

🎄At one point, I was considering carefully cutting out wolverine illustration from the page and framing it by itself. (I duplicated one of the images with Wolverine and drew a red box around it, to demonstrate what I was planning; might be cool. But, ultimately, I liked the page with the study and the signature. The study is super cool.
