Description

Paul Smith is the greatest X-Men artist of all-time. I love Byrne's grandeur, Cockrum's imagination and Neal Adams being, well Neal Adams. I can see why people are fond of other runs, but me to me there's only Smitty.

I didn't get into comics until about 1981 but it was only the odd book here and there. In the winter of 1983 I spent a long time in the children's hospital. My dad and one of my aunts bought me comics - lots of comics - to pass some of those long days. Smitty's X-Men was in full flight and that's why he'll always be my guy.

Thanks Paul, for taking this one on. It'll be mine forever.
