DescriptionThis is early concept art of the Movie Kingdom of the Sun which would get cancelled and later replaced with the Emperor's New Groove. They have some similarities but the main plot was totally different. For Kingdom of the Sun Yzma is trying to block out the Sun with the help of Incan God Supay for eternal youth. This piece shows how devastating this movie could have been as the god shrouds the sun and covers the land in impenetrable darkness. The figure in the center may be the early version of Pacha, who was going to save the day by lassoing the sun. The art was done by Pete Von Sholly who's an amazing storyboard artist that worked on many well known films like Nightmare on Elm Street 3 & 4, Child's Play, Darkman, The Mask, Mars Attacks, Sonic the Hedgehog...Social/Sharing |

It has a fantasy epic movie poister feel with a classic theme of a small person standing up to a large evil being. Von Sholly immerses us into the fantasy with great design and solid textures all within the range of visual darkness!
