Si Spurrier and Aaron Campbell absolutely crushed it with Dead in America #11. I can�t imagine any team pulling this off better. The pacing is FLAWLESS and the way every thread ties together is perfection. Spurrier�s writing is has been consistent since issue #1 when the title was just John Constantine: Hellblazer pre-pandemic, but Campbell�s dark, atmospheric art takes it to another level.

This issue blows every Constantine story since the New 52 out of the water. Every writer since then has tried to turn him into DC�s Doctor Strange in a trench coat, but that�s not John. He�s a bastard who works between the lines, someone who always wins but comes out damaged every single time. There's a portion that takes a page out of the Dangerous Habits arc and it doesn't feel cheap in the slightest.

The ending though is frustrating, bold, and so perfect. I�m annoyed with myself for burning through it so fast because it�s one of those issues you want to savor just a little longer. This is THE Hellblazer story I've been waiting for.

An absolutely incredible splash! Even from the thumbnail view, the impact comes through full force. The luminosity bleeding into lens flare is really superb. Congrats and well bought!
