10.5x16" artboard features pen and ink original art for page 9 of Sword Of Sorcery #3, published by DC Comics Aug. 1973. Art is by Howard Chaykin and this issue was inked by Bernie Wrightson, Michael Wm. Kaluta and Walt Simonson. Page features six panels and features the adventures of Fafhrd and Gray Mouser, the sword and sorcery heroes of Fritz Lieber's stories. Both heroes stop a fleeing suspect by pinning his cape to a doorway, allowing them to question him. Top margin has handwritten title, issue/page numbers and month(s) of publication in black felt tip pen. Last panel has 1.5" tall correction paste-over w/original art that changed the perspective of Gray Mouser. This has since loosened and comes along, presenting viewers a look at Chaykin's original design versus that which was published. This area (as well as paste-over) has some aging/glue staining. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Thin piece of tape at top/bottom center margins. Art remains clean and VF/Exc. overall.
