10-5/8x15.75" artboard features pen and ink original art w/large screentone accent for page 20 of Sword Of Sorcery #3, published by DC Comics Aug. 1973. Art is by Howard Chaykin and this issue was inked by Bernie Wrightson, Michael Wm. Kaluta and Walt Simonson. Page features three panels and features the adventures of Fafhrd and Gray Mouser, the sword and sorcery heroes of Fritz Lieber's stories. Our heroes react to Gray Mouser's cards coming to life, thanks to a magical assist from the winged woman Lissa, who unties them in last panel. Top margin has handwritten title, issue/page numbers and month(s) of publication in black felt tip pen. Last panel has text strip replacement w/white tape on back. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. First panel has white correctional fluid touch-up to one card character's face, which Chaykin then re-drew. Screentone accent in first panel has evenly aged w/some faint age spotting to surrounding area, but o/w art remains clean and VF/Exc. overall.
