Description

This original concept art by Jean, created in 2005, was intended for the animated feature Castlevania: Dracula's Curse, based on Warren Ellis's screenplay inspired by the 1989 video game. Commissioned by Project 51 Productions after acquiring the rights from Konami, Jean was entrusted with the artistic direction for the film, which was later canceled. The piece, featuring a knight surrounded by twisted, otherworldly foes, was repurposed for promotion around the 2017 Castlevania Netflix series, which was also written by Warren Ellis.
