Description"Guadalcanal" by Paul S. Newman. April-June 1964.Marines stop an enemy tank by shredding its tread with a grenade and then destroying it with 75 mm. guns. They repulse repeated Japanese assaults. Attacks slacken, bringing hope to the defenders. In early November 1942, however, the Japanese dispatch the largest convoy of troop reinforcements yet to overwhelm the Marines. On the night of November 12, Admiral Callahan sent the supply ships away and led his small naval group to head off the far superior enemy force of battleships, cruisers, and destroyers. Purples and blues raise the spectre of doubt at this point of the conflict.

War is hell! That's made evident by thescenes in the top two panels, which are grimy as hell. Which really emphasizes the juxtaposition between those panels and the third one, which is clean, peaceful and serene!
