Joe Madureira and Vince Russell

This is one of my favorite Joe Mad splash pages. It could have been a cover with the original X-Men team in their classic uniforms! Even though he's facing away from us, Beast stands out to me. Joe Mad's style really meshed well with him. It would have been awesome to see him draw more of the original Beast before turning blue and furry.

I am pretty sure I acquired this via eBay and that the previous owner was on CAF. I am grateful to be the current caretaker of this. Thanks to Joe Mad and Vince Russell for their amazing artwork!

Great time period for X-Men in 1996. One of the few times you'd see Joe Mad on the original X-Men. Also very rare with Russell inking Joe Madureira in place of Townsend.

Joe Mad's run was possibly the last good run on Uncanny. You are right, this is definitely cover quality. Great pick up!

This is one of my favorite splashes from Joe Mad's Uncanny run as well- loved seeing his take on the original 5 vs Magneto (in an killer pose). I remember you had this up before and am glad to see it back up on CAF. Congrats, and thanks for sharing!
