Continuing with Denys Cowan month.

"It has always lived in the city. This monster, this Skell. It has dwelt deep within every citizen except the very young, the saintly old and the forunate insane.
It feeds on fear and mistrust and despair. And when it is allowed to nourish itself, it grows, it swells, it bloats. Then it rages."

I'd spend my splash alone
I'm too insane at home
Lost in The Question there.
Like I was in a cell
A captured art that swells
Surrounded by despair.
Denys filled my soul
Losing all control.
Bloat on the streets he grows
Bright saintly lines of Jones.
The energy would rise
And through the deep I'd gaze
Still counting empty rage.
With fire in my lines
Cowan drew this hell
Can I break the Skells?
