Description

Continuing with Denys Cowan month.

It's OA Expo week. Denys Cowan along with a host of other artists will be guests at this year's OA EXPO. He also has a birthday at the end of this month. Sadly I will not be attending but if YOU are, I hope you have the best time.

The Question sets out on his quest for information regarding Wesley Fermins campaign contributors and his whereabouts while Myra Connelly lays in a hospital bed after being shot by Wesley Fermin.

Aristotle's head in panel 2 and 3 is a stat.

The Question #25 pg. 10 by artists Denys Cowan and Malcolm Jones III. On a 19X13 board. 1989

Gotta give credit to Malcolm Jones III, he did a really nice job giving Cowan's pencils a nice, textured look. But now the real Question lies before us: Will it be sooner or later, that we suddenly see the purple background inks re-inked to "preserve" them?

Sooner! Going to do it before the fading even starts, way ahead of the problem. Maybe even add some color to it!

Oh, that sounds awesome! Just make sure you don't ask the colorist to color a photocopy of the page like some collectors do. Because then you have 2 pieces of original art and it causes confusion. Make sure you have the colorist apply their colors directly onto this art board, so it looks just like the page in the comic book. Art collectors love and prefer that!

A great emotional page of the story.  Jones III was doing some of the best work here balancing the gritty street look and the deep emotions of anguish and sadness.  That nurse's hair is inked exceptionally well.
