Dracula's tomb is defended by more than an aged monk:

�Let's get out of here. More will come.�

�Let them come. But I bet those monks will stay holed up in their cells. They are afraid of us.�

�Boys, the stone slab! It is moving.�

(Dracula attacks from his crypt.) �Aaaahh!�

�Petru!�

�Were you looking for me? Thank you for the blood. I needed it, after a five-hundred-year sleep.�

�It's Dracula!�

�It's...it's impossible! I don't believe it!�

�What don't you believe, Mihail?�

�You don't believe this?� (Slicing Petru�s throat with his clawed thumb) �Or is it this?� (Dracula entrances Mihail with a vision of a hillside filled with corpses on stakes. This will be seen more clearly on the following page.)

Having read numerous issues of Dampyr, I can confirm that "It's impossible!" is one of the most common bits of dialogue, as common folk react with shock to the supernatural world.

it's getting good now! I look forward to the next page of corpses on stakes over the hillside. "it's impossible!" is a pretty good line for being in a state of awed shock. hell even Luke Skywalker said "that's impossible!" when his father told him who he was in Empire Strikes Back!
