DescriptionSteve Rude Jack Kirby Collector #89 Darkseid Cover Re-Creation Illustration Original Art (2024). "The Dude" re-creates a powerful image of Darkseid by Jack Kirby! Originally an unpublished illustration for the 1984 San Diego Comic Con, TwoMorrows used the piece for Issue 89 of the Jack Kirby fanzine (2024), and Rude provides his take on the Kirby-created supervillain. Ink and marker over graphite on 11.5" x 17.5" Bristol board. A stat paste-up of the Kirby piece is in the top left corner. Some marker bleed and light smudging/handling wear. Signed by Rude in the lower right image area. In Very Good condition.Social/Sharing |

Looks cool with Rude recreating this in the Kirby manner as if he was in 1984! It must have been a conscious choice to add the faded marker lines if this was done in 2024.
