The Question #25 "Skells"

In this issue Myra Connelly-Fermin wins the election for Mayor of Hub City on a technicality. Before she is able to do anything, she�s shot by her husband-in-name-only on live TV. The former mayor, who shoots Myra, who may become mayor again should Myra die, is drunk all the time and as a leader is utterly corrupt and incompetent.

The city riots. The Question in his quest to find Wesley Fermin and bring him to justice, almost fails to help a woman who�s running for her life because he was too angry.

Meanwhile the Skells, the local street gang, have taken two women hostage and are holding the police at bay.

Wesley Fermin, drunk and with visions of glory, charges the Skells allowing the police to kill the Skells and rescue the hostages. Fermin is killed in the process.

Beautiful art and fantastic storytelling by Denys Cowan and Malcolm Jones III. You see everything Denys brings in this issue. Cowan�s pencils are tight when needed, those fantastic close-ups, and loose when appropriate. Helped by Malcolm Jones III�s amazing inks, his inking and use of heavy blacks, in places, brings a mean and gritty look to Hub City and its citizens.
