Description

Grendel Tales - Devils and Deaths was my introduction to the world of Grendel and to the artist Edvin Biukovic. Little did I know that this story would open a whole world for me for some of the best storytelling in the comics medium. I just want to thank my buddy Absurd13 and DWJ for their love and enthusiasm for the story, the way they spoke about it is what got me to pick it up in the first place! After reading it, I understood immediately, so what else can I say that hasn't been said already for Edvin, gone far too soon but such an amazing storyteller. Love his HEAVY inks and this page is a perfect example of it with the first panel! "Make Room for Major Two-Teeth!!"

It's real strong with how Biukovic separated the foreground and the focus on the page with the heavy inks against the straw like background players. That top panel gives so much weight to the action to make "Get Out" have so much more power.
