Description

I have always enjoyed seeing James Harren’s commissions and how he approaches the subjects in his unique style. It was a no brainer for me to jump on his list when it opened up. Boy did he exceed my expectations. I absolutely love the overall contrast of the piece. From the black and red against the white and blue, to the size of Vader versus Ahsoka. Even the lightsabers are in contrast with Ahsoka’s being blown out with lightning tendrils coming off them to Vader’s red saber having more defined and contained edges. I am so thrilled to add this piece to the collection.

I love the colors he used here and perspective from Ahoska of Vader facing her so huge.

Master of screentone has now turned into a master of dry brush and colors! Fire and darkness versus the cool blue and white brightness where the dark side seems impossible to defeat to anyone else besides the Jedi.

I was blown away when I saw this on social media - the contrasts and proportions are absolutely wild and quintessential Harren. Congrats!

Absolutely amazing. I seldom like the hero facing full back toward the villain, but for Vader, I think anyone would make an exception. Perfect choice by Harren, and the way Ahsoka's sabers pool a bit add a fantastic glow effect. One of his best commissions.
