DescriptionI saw the black and white, in progress version of this piece at OAX, and I asked Manix about it... He told me it was work in progress, so I asked him to please let me know when it was finished, as I'd love to get it! Fast forward to a couple of weeks later, and I met Manix for lunch with a few other folks in the bay area (Lance, Kevin, Tariq, Marcus)... He told me he had finished the piece and showed it to me, so I was able to bring it home that day!! I love what Manix did here... The Captain America figure has a certain Kirby style to it, with his fist in the foreground... The sound effects are classic, and I love the 3 Red Skull figures he added at different spots in the piece... As usual, the scan doesn't do the colors justice, but if you have seen a piece of Manix art in person, you know how vibrant and fun his colors are!!Social/Sharing |

PTOW! Fist-punching and shield-swinging action flying right off the page!

badass! love it. this gives me vibes of an old school arcade "beat em up" game like "Captain America & The Avengers" released by Data East in 1991. congrats!

All those Red Skulls really make this piece! Sweet Kirby inspired rendition of Cap, too!

This scan needs to be replaced with a photograph or you need to rescan with a black background. Manix's colors are unique that conventional scanning can't capture it right.

Love the multiple Red Skulls in different poses, as well as all of the onomatopoeia! However, the color used here is so original. That bubble gum pink really makes you feel like you just opened up a pack of baseball cards.

I LOVE the way he put the shield through the letters. Another Manix Miracle!

manix killed it on this one, its best when getting a piece, to just tell manix a hero or villian you want, no covers or homages, love it buddy

Manix mixing in Kirby?! Come one! Dig the central figure and the huge fist but love that sound effect lettering just as much. Congrats!
