DescriptionProbably my favorite image title from the 90s was the Darkness. Always loved Marc Silvestri’s art from his X-men run but what set The Darkness apart from Silvestri earlier titles was that it wasn’t a watered down version of the X-men like Cyberforce et all.. but a mix of supernatural.. mob stuff.. a bad guy that is good etc. this eclectic combo made for a great story and Jackie Estacado a fascinating character . I’m pretty sure there are a lot of fans out there because getting pages from early in the series isn’t easy! I finally was able to grab this page from issue 4 when my buddy Carl decided to let it go. Not to much of an action page.. but a pretty important story page as we are leading into learning about Jackie’s past.. his father and how the darkness works. The art is top notch as I kind of think this is peak Silvestri and Batt compliments him well . Some close ups of Jackie .. pretty nurses .. and the aftermath of our hitman throwing someone off the roof! Now if anyone has a page with some costume and darklings please let me know!Social/Sharing |

This is awesome as Jackie is the reluctant anti hero with a supernatural twist! A perfect compliment to the Witchblade who approached her powers as a cop, while Jackie is more wild from the mob life point of view. A small circle of fans go wild for these early Darkness pages.
