Description

Showcase #100 was a reunion issue, pencilled and inked by Joe Staton, more or less featuring every lead character from the first 99 issues of Showcase. Lots of easter eggs, with minor characters popping up in the backgrounds, sometimes in the corners of panels. Very broad, time-calamity story, but fun.

This page is from the climax of the story, featuring Lois Lane and Angel from Angel and the Ape.

I like that Shaffenberger and Oksner type of good girls were used by Staton. Side by side makes it obvious Staton is making the ladies each look a certain way, but the robots remain the same modern style.

I always wanted him to draw an Angel & the Ape series but it never happened. He drew a fantastic Daphne in Scooby-Doo comics as well.
