DescriptionSOOOO… X-men 175 was one of the first comics I was given as a small child and my introduction to the X-men.. to say I love this comic would be an understatement. It grabbed my formative mind in a unique way that created a life long love of the medium charters and art.. so whenever something related to it pops up I’m interested. So when this was previewed for an upcoming Next Comic sale show a very good friend brought it to my attention: and guess what.. I’m a big fan of the artist too! Elvin Ching is just incredibly talented , and this recreation shows it all… in his own words “ Pencil Ink Watercolor Wash and Acrylic inks” perfectly melded to recreate a Smitty masterpiece in Elvin’s unique style. Nothing can top the Paul Smith original in my eyes.. but Elvin surely does it justice!Social/Sharing |

The subject being recreated is clear but also so new in the Ching style. Very cool, J, congrats!
