Description

Really fun page from the 100th issue of Excalibur.. a comic I read from its inception until its end. By the 100th issue it was 1996 .. marvel was in weird place..Warren Ellis was writing this book the team expanded to include some other former X-men and Casey Jones was handling the art mostly.. I thought this page was a very good example of his unique style not only in the characters but the page layout.. Nice Group shot going into action - a great shot of a brood.. and how pretty is Megan in the last panel???

Devoid of any screentone, duo-tone, and crosshatching! Jones and Simmons create depth and shape using just linewidths and shadow to wrap around the shapes whether they be the Brood or Meggan.

the panel layout and almost warped perspective in some cases is pretty unique and interesting looking. the group shot at the top jumping into action and the final panel of Megan are beautiful. congrats on a milestone 100th issue page!
