Description

I'm a child of the 70s and 80s. There was no better/greater time during the week than Saturday morning and network cartoons. I had lots of faves including GI Joe, Robotech, Captain Power... but Transformers was always my favourite and Optimus was my guy. He would always do the right thing no matter how high the cost. Layer that in with Peter Cullen's amazing voice acting and Optimus was the hero's hero. And then, of course... the movie!!!

It has been great to see the resurgence in popularity of the Transformers with the efforts from DWJ. So I was really pleased to snag this full colour sketch of Optimus to add to my collection.

Beautiful piece with Optimus' courage running into battle with gun and energon axe! It's in full color because DWJ pays homage to the cartoon that shaped his childhood.

Saturday mornings in the 80's were the best, unless you were like me and slept in and missed half your favorite shows. No DVR or streaming networks to catch up back then, lol. Great Optimus, congrats!
