DescriptionOriginal acrylic paintings by Science-Fiction illustrator and Emmy award-winner, Michael Minor. Mr. Minor (1940-1987) was an art director on Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (1982), The Man Who Saw Tomorrow(1981), Emo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985), and Treasure of Jamaica Reef (1975), He was a conceptual and production illustrator on Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) and he did special visual effects for Spacehunter (1983). He won the Emmy for his special effect work on The Winds of War in 1983.Large piece measuring 36 x 18 inches, painted on canvas board. It is one of a series of scenes Mike painted for a proposed fantasy film. Against a dark background, a sword bearing man battles with a flying dragon as two figures look on. It is a dark painting, but when lit property, it is quite handsome. It is signed "Minor 1979" in the lower right. Social/Sharing |
