Description

The Last Halloween was to have been the culmination of the story Jeph and Tim's started with The Long Halloween back in 1992, but fate had other plans and took Tim from us far too soon.

I was torn between wanting to be able to read the final story they had planned and not wanting to do it without Tim's art. In the end, and with a gentle push from the fact that each issue features a "new" cover by Tim, I decided to take the plunge.

Jeph is working with an all-star roster of artists on the series with Cliff Chiang, a personal favorite, giving us a Catwoman who is visually true to the one Tim had racing across rooftops from the Long Halloween through When In Rome.

I knew I wanted to get a page featuring Tim's Catwoman and was very pleased to be able to grab this one when the pages dropped. While Tim ended up preferring Darwyn's Catwoman costume, I'm sure he would agree that for a "Long Halloween" story, she has to have the ears and tale.

Robin already to learning to roofie the ladies! Robin getting slapped was already meme worthy when Batman did it, Tim Sale was just updating it. Those batcave steps lead us down to two classic Tim Sale panels.
