DescriptionAaron Lopresti drew up this color illustration of Porky Pig as Friar Tuck from Robin Hood Daffy. We share a deep love for Chuck Jones cartoons and I was happy to make this purchase. I’m immediately reminded of great gags and dialog. The duel on the log crossing where Daffy employs a “buck and a quarter” staff. “Guard! Turn! Parry! Dodge! Spin! Hah! Thrust!” Daffy’s repeated robbery attempts on a rich merchant traveler. “Yoiks and away!” This is a great cartoon with crucial contributions from writer Michael Maltese and layout artist Maurice Noble.Social/Sharing |
