Description

In Gregory Maguire's novel "Wicked," Elphaba first meets Fiyero at Shiz University where they become friends. Fiyero's charismatic personality and rebellious spirit initially attract Glinda but also spark a connection with Elphaba, who admires his courage and willingness to challenge the status quo. This produces a Love Triangle, adding complexity to their individual stories.

Years after leaving Shiz, they reunite and despite Fiyero's engagement to Glinda, he and Elphaba secretly begin a passionate affair, while both are involved with the resistance movement against the Wizard of Oz. Their affair leads to the birth of their son, Liir. However, Fiyero's death and Elphaba's subsequent struggles with grief and paranoia heavily impact their relationship.

Elphaba's involvement in the resistance against the Wizard and her growing role as a leader create tension between her and Fiyero, who is more inclined towards a simpler, less political life. Elphaba�s resistance leads to Fiyero�s death at the hands of the Wizard's police force.

On this sheet are several panels that appear on pages 153, 4, and 5. Fiyero is preparing to leave to visit Elphaba. As he reached the hallway, he turned and kissed his friend Tibbett. Down deep, Glinda knows where he is going and says, "If you should see her, tell her I miss her still". And he goes to see Elphaba. At her humble apartment they get into bed together to ponder the future.
