Description

George Lichty pulled out all of his ink-slinging cartooning chops for this war bonds cartoon done for Burma Shave in 1944. I love the brush work in this piece, combined with the litho crayon tones. It's really a perfect combination.

Lichty's WWII period may be my favorite, and this piece may now be my new collection favorite.
