The story was edited by legendary Julius Schwartz and written by comic master Frank Rob-bins. One of the many DC issues from this period around 1970 that featured mys-tery and suspense stories similar to the ones in “House of Secrets and “House of Mystery”, horror stories/titles were extremely successful then for DC. This issue’s story: "Legacy of Hate": Bruce Wayne is invited to the ancestral Waynemoor Castle, of the Wayne Family in England, where he meets several distant relatives and encounters a ghostly knight bent on centuries-old vengeance. He is forced to intervene as Batman in order to stop the "ghost" and finds out that it is no ghost, but the butler, who discovered a past murder and became insane with the belief that he was the reincarnation of one of the castle's founders. Batman captures the insane man and clears the centuries-old murder mystery, but finds himself still baffled by the apparent supernatural circumstances surrounding Waynemoor Castle Social/Sharing |
