This is a rural scene that was common in the Philippines when I was growing up in the 1970s. I was amazed at the watercolor paintings that Mang Romy was posting on Facebook and asked if he would do one of this subject. I was happy that he agreed. He even snuck my likeness into the picture. No...not the water buffalo, the little kid in front.
