DescriptionI've been a fan of Nicks work for a while now but was never able to pick up a page from East of West (Amazing book, highly recommend), but he was one of the first artist that I was able to connect with to do a Berserk Commission for me and he “absolutely” killed it! So when I heard this book was coming out, I knew it would be crazy and have not been disappointed. Although, with all the hype, I was honestly not expecting to be able to get a page from issue 1, thankfully I was wrong! The pure ferocity that emanates from Bruce as he hits the bag, each swing is a memory of the faithful day that his life changed. Love it!Social/Sharing |

congrats on getting a page from the first issue of Nick's most widely popular/mainstream title to date! Like you I absolutely loved East Of West, still one of my top indie comics ever released. was hoping to land an original cover from the series myself but hasn't worked out yet, too bad the interior art was done digitally (I have seen people commission specific interior pages for him to recreate though which is a cool idea).

Amazing storytelling! The onomatopoeia is cutting away from the linear story with Bruce's trauma in hearing gunshots ring with his workout punches in between his memories of that fateful day.

Not just a page, but what a page - depicting a pivotal moment. This page is so filled with meaning, story, and emotional content, I daresay this beats a standard hero shot page. Congrats on this well-chosen pick up.

Can't wait to see this in a museum someday. Congrats on a gorgeous page of storytelling and a piece of comics history.

It's been so fun seeing Nick get his due lately with the success of Absolute Batman, and wonderful to see this page land with you. A huge scene in establishing who absolute Bruce is. I love the intercutting of the heavy bag with the lion.
