DescriptionBlue Blazes! The Element Man springs into action as he teams up with Batman along “The Pathway of Doom” in this terrific page from 1979. An Aparo page featuring Metamorpho has long been a grail for me, and I couldn’t be happier with this one—thanks, Bechara!Social/Sharing |

The Metamorpho half splash is great! Aparo shows off the different textures that he's composed of and is able to get in the Aparoisms of the heavy brow.

Thanks! Aparo had the incredible talent to be equally at ease with a shadowy Batman or with a far out Element Man.

I have seen your page--it is fantastic! Aparo is equally at home with noir and sci-fi, and everything in between. His work on Brave and the Bold was my entry point into the wider DC Universe, beyond the Justice League, and to this day defines so much of what I love about DC.

Awesome Aparo artwork! Aparo's take on the monthly guest-star was always something to look forward to seeing but this page is exceptional even for him.

Aparo clearly had a good feel for drawing Metamorpho even before he drew the character monthly in "Batman and the Outsiders." Very cool page of Rex in action!

Even though Aparo didn't create Metamorpho, he is the artist I most associate with the character, even before his stint drawing him monthly in Batman and the Outsiders. Aparo's take stands proudly alongside the great Ramona Fradon.
