DescriptionJackson 'Butch' Guice was a HUGE fan of Grell's Warlord. When I commissioned him to do this piece, he actually added in the girls and the background at NO CHARGE. He told me that this was one of his actual favorites to do!I am very saddened that he passed away suddenly a few weeks ago and am very appreciative of this pre-lim and the actual sketch he did for me. I didn't like Shakira's stance, nor did I like Travis holding the sword in his left hand (....would drive me crazy when Dan Jurgens would draw this in the original run!), so I asked him to make Shakira more cat-like and re-arrange the hell-fire sword and gun. It's the spy genre mixed with the fantasy sword and sorcery look! Butch could really do any genre well!
