What If...? #46 p30 drawn by Ron Frenz and inked by Sam de la Rosa, from the story "What If Uncle Ben Had Lived?" (August 1984).

Ron Frenz really captures the Steve Ditko look and feel on this page.

I don't have my reference in front of me, so someone please tell me which issue of The Amazing Spider-Man this page is retelling? #11 or 12, I think.

A big thanks to Dave Schwartz, who sold this to me back in 1994 at SDCC.

I added an image of Ditko's Spider-Man so you can see which panels Frenz referenced.

Thanks. Ditko art, especially Spider-Man art, was always just out of my price range and out of reach for me, even 30 years ago when I got this. So I thought this was the next best thing.

It's from issue 12. They would do something similar in Untold Tales of Spider-Man in the 90's to fit into the Ditko continuity.
