Description

Birds of Prey had lost its way a little bit before Gail and Ed took over in the mid-50s. As great a job as Chuck did setting up the book, these two took it to new heights - in my opinion. Gail brought together a ton of DC mythos to add richness to the book at the same time that she kept it looking forward.

Ed's art was a departure from what had come before and leaned pretty far into "good girl" art. Not my typical genre. But, along the way, he added a dynamic quality that served the stories incredibly well.

Lady Shiva has always been an interesting character for me. So glad Gail made her a central part of this story.

Bought this from Heritage in 2025.
