11x17" artboard has pen and ink original art for Amazing Spider-Man Annual #27, published by Marvel May 1993. Art is by Tom Lyle (1953-2019) w/inks by Scott Hanna. Art is for first page of story, a splash page featuring Spider-Man swinging through New York upside down on his way to an awards dinner w/Mary Jane, only to be interrupted by his Spider-Sense going off. Character intro text at top is pasted stat w/aged strip of tape at bottom center. "First Encounter" story title is pasted hand-lettered text. Small text replacement strip on word balloon. Top margin has piece of white tape w/stamped "Spider-Man" title w/faint handwritten "Amazing" above it. Top margin also has inked "Annual" designation and issue/page numbers. Hanna has signed in black ink at bottom margin, adding "'93" date. Aside from aforementioned aged tape, art remains clean and Exc.
