This Stunning Stan Lee scripted original art piece by Gene Colon and Frank Giacoia features Daredevil, the Gladiator and the Masked Maruder. Daredevil faces off against the villainous Gladiator, who attempts to ruin Matt Murdock's reputation by framing him for a crime. The issue features intense action and showcases Daredevil's struggle to maintain his dual identity while protecting the innocent. Stan Lee was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. He rose through the ranks of a family-run business called Timely Comics which later became Marvel Comics. He was Marvel's primary creative leader for two decades, expanding it from a small publishing house division to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics and film industries. Eugene Jules Colan (1926 - 2011) illustrated many war comics for both Timely/Atlas and DC Comics. He flourished after Atlas became Marvel, with notable stints plotting and drawing on Daredevil and Captain America in the 1960s, before co-authoring Howard The Duck with Steve Gerber and Tomb of Dracula with Marv Wolfman. Frank Giacoia (July 6, 1924 – February 4, 1988) was an American comics artist known primarily as an inker. He sometimes worked under the name Frank Ray, and to a lesser extent Phil Zupa, and the single moniker Espoia, the latter used for collaborations with fellow inker Mike Esposito. Social/Sharing |
