Description

Splash page to "My Neighbor's Secret!" from Journey into Mystery #55. Spoiler alert: He really is Noah.

Drawn by Jack Kirby and inked by Christopher Rule.

I just can't get over the crazy amount of detail Chris Rule put into his inks on the page. Rule was Kirby's primary inker when he first returned to Atlas in the late 1950s and he did a terrific job on this page. Look at all the wood grain!

I first saw this at SDCC in 1988 and foolishly passed on it. Fortunately, it turned up on eBay in 2005 and I snatched it up.

Awesome title Splash page Bret. Christopher Rule was a great inker, but there was some eerie electricity going on in some of his inking. Not this page though. Congrats!
