Description

A big thank you to the awesome Joseph Melchior from www.britcomicsart.com for this one! This cover hadn't even been solicited when Joseph reached out and asked me if I might be interested in it! I liked the old school vibes from the cover, with Cap lunching forward as he's getting shot at! It has like a 60s look to it (almost Kirby like?) At any rate, I love Mark Buckingham's work on it, and I am happy to add this to the collection!

You have enough Kirby Cap art to know if Buckingham is doing a Kirby style or not. People should be going to you to ask for advice about their Cap art.

Awesome Buckingham cover and to your point def evokes that Kirby magic feel of old. For a brand new cover it has a much older feel (that older Marvel cover stock bristol helps with that too). Nice pickup man!

Stunning Captain America cover by Mark Buckingham. It has a 60's sort of vibe to it, maybe it's the pose Cap takes when he's under fire. I love how detailed the background is, lots of trees and foliage to hide in. But does Cap hide? He does not, he plunges forward in true Captain America style. Buckingham does a great job of capturing Cap's look. There's something about the chin that gives off a kind of Kirby/Romita look. Anyway, fantastic pick-up. Another great cover for your Captain America museum! Great pick-up, congrats!
