DescriptionI picked this up because it heavily reminds me of Wally Wood. Never thought of Capullo to be influenced by Wood but it's hard to refute the evidence in this page. No action, just some really well done pencils and inks. Would love to see some other pages from this issue.This looks much nicer on me than by buddy, James S. Thanks for sale. Social/Sharing |

Joe Rosen's lettering really has an Artie Simek vibe. There's a lot of retro goodness going on here.

This might be one of the most non superhero pieces of Capullo's career. Looks like John Bolton as well with a modernized knights and castles aesthetic from Prince Valiant.

I remember commenting on this in James' gallery but I don't remember what I said. But that doesn't matter because you make this early Capullo page look even better! And it does have a Wally Wood feel to it, a testament to Tim Dzon's underrated inking!
