Description

It's crazy to think that in the last two years, I have seen and talked to Tom Grummett and his wife 3 times. Considering I live in Belgium, that's pretty neat.

Each time, I purchased a sketch and this time around, I had a fun idea for his trip to Dutch Comic Con in June 2025:

An homage to his iconic inside cover to "Adventures of Superman" #501 with Superboy. But with my good ol', all-time favorite Ben Reilly.

Tom actually did some work on the Clone Saga over at Marvel, so the link was made and the torso sketch ordered.

It's a clean and clear rendition of his famous pose, but I'm mostly glad Tom got to do one less Superman or Robin this weekend. Size is A4 and this was done in blue and regular pencils.

Any suggestions on inkers are welcome!

Great character substitution choice! Brash and cocky Ben Reilly! Grummett's clean line shines like it did back then.
