Description

John Romita Jr is an artist whose work I love on some books, and dislike on others. Safe it to say, I LOVE his work on War Zone. Love his interpretation of Frank Castle. Klaus Janson inks add a further bad-assness to the art. Just couldn't be happier with this page.

Even among the detail of carnage and chaos, it's impossible to upstage Frank and friend here, such is the weight given to him by that powerful stance and those thick, black Janson lines. Oof - a viscious and visceral gut-punch of a page, Duke, that I'd wager requires its own portfolio (I can't imagine it plays very well with others... :) ). Congrats!
