Description

I was instantly attracted to Ben Sears' blocky-yet-charming work. His characters seem to have a weight and heft to them, so I figured that he would do a chunky Rhino. I also decided to go for his vibrant colors since he makes them pop, even when using a restricted palate.

He liked the symbiotic oxpeckers of real-life rhinos, so decided to add some colorful birds. He also wanted to make the head as small as possible to emphasize the goofiness of the character.

Completed at HeroesCon 2025.
