Description

Batman: The Cult is one of my favorite comic book mini-series, and i've always wanted to do a cover treatment for it. So, after some 'creative liberties' on casting, i thought i'd give it a shot. Published in Prestige format by DC Comics in 1988, and written by Jim Starlin and illustrated by the great Bernie Wrightson, it tells the story of Batman's descent into madness as he investigates the killing of criminals in Gotham City by a cult of homeless people, led by Deacon Joseph Blackfire. One of the more grounded Caped Crusader stories, this is as good as the come.
